Acupuncture
Balance the body using an ancient healing technique — thin, sterile needles placed at specific points along the body's meridians to relieve pain, ease stress and restore function.
What is acupuncture?
Acupuncture uses thin steel needles inserted into the skin to stimulate specific points on the body. It derives from Traditional Chinese Medicine, which holds that the body has over 2,000 acupuncture points connected by meridians — pathways that carry Qi, or vital energy. When that flow is disrupted, illness can follow; acupuncture aims to restore proper circulation and balance.
Sessions typically last 30–60 minutes. Most patients see improvement within 3–6 sessions, though individual results vary based on the condition and its duration. The needles used are about the width of a human hair, and acupuncture is generally considered safe when performed by a well-trained, licensed practitioner using sterile, single-use needles — which is how every session at MIC is performed.
Prefer not to use needles? Acupuncturists on our team also offer non-needle alternatives, including moxibustion (heat), acupressure, cupping (suction), e-stim, and Gua Sha.
