Yining Chen

I am Yining Chen. I have more than 8 years of experience in an Oriental medicine clinic. I finished my Master's degree in acupuncture from the Virginia University of Integrative Medicine in 2019, and I am certified by the National Board (NCCAOM) and a licensed acupuncturist in the states of Virginia and Maryland. Throughout my clinical practice, I received acupuncture continuing education courses in pain management, digestion care, women's health, mental health, and internal medicine.

The dream for me to study acupuncture started when my grandpa had a stroke and suffered hemiplegic paralysis when he was 82 years old. He was an acupuncture believer, and he insisted on getting acupuncture treatment after being discharged from the hospital. Under the acupuncture treatment for 3 months, my grandpa started to walk with a cane, and half a year later, he was able to get rid of the cane and manage his life by himself without any help. Seeing the "magic of acupuncture treatment," a seed grew in my heart-"I want to learn acupuncture." That's why, when the opportunity to study acupuncture arose, I decided to pursue it as a career. The more I learn, the more I know that acupuncture is not magic; it is an art of balance. In my work, I would like to do my best to help people with my knowledge and my passion. People's smiles and relief are the greatest rewards of my career.

I spent most of my free time with my family and a 3-year-old German shepherd. And I love to explore new places and get new experiences that enrich and delight my life.
